Job Role/Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Reporting to: Chief Human Resources Officer

Job Objective:

1) To manage the full recruitment cycle with a strategic focus on activities to source, attract, recruit and   retain top talent within the assigned business unit.

2) To create and implement the talent acquisition framework, infrastructure, and strategies to support the short and long-term business needs and objectives.

3) To manage Talent Acquisition projects, deadlines, milestone delivery, resource allocation, with direct accountability to cross-functional teams and division leadership.

Job Role/Title: Tax Manager

Reporting to: Chief Finance Officer

Job Objective

1. To manage all tax affairs for the company

2. To optimize tax opportunities including strategies for business growth and expansion while ensuring     compliance with tax regulations to prevent risks of default.

Key Accountabilities

Business results

  • Submission of Tax budgets for company plan and business reviews.
  • Tax disclosures in Financial Statements and company reporting.
  • Perform the computation of the company income tax, deferred tax, education tax and other relevant taxes of the organization to be recorded in the company’s tax account and reported in the financial statements
  • Prepare and file all monthly and annual tax liabilities for the company for all states and the federal tax authorities that we operate in.
  • Keep abreast of changes in all aspects of the laws and regulation of taxes in Nigeria, as it affects the business
  • To seek legal means of avoiding taxes thus maximizing the organization’s wealth
  • Ensure timely payment of all taxes to the appropriate Tax Authorities to avoid sanctions.
  • Obtain high value tax related services at competitive fees from external Consultants.
  • Minimise the present value of all tax payments without exposing the company to risks.
  • Identify tax-planning opportunities and appropriately develop and implement the operating strategies to expand the business.

Essential requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Over 5 years’ experience as a tax specialist, preferably from a major accounting firm.
  • Knowledgeable on the local tax dynamics and understands the implications on company business objectives.
  • Innovative and influencing skills
  • Ability to translate and align taxation activities to the company vision
  • Fluency in English Language
  • Understands the company business environment and risks
  • Chartered Tax Practitioner
